Oral Health

We believe that oral health is crucial for overall well-being. To enhance the oral health of our community, we provide accessible dental check-ups, and affordable treatment options.

Oral Education

GSI extends its reach through the "Naija Smile" Oral Health Initiative, delivering free oral health education and treatment to over 10,000 individuals since its inception. Oral health education programs can foster community engagement and promote collective responsibility for oral health.

Cleft conditions not only impact physical appearance but also present significant challenges in speech, nutrition, and social integration. GSI, in partnership with Smile Train, focuses on providing free cleft surgeries to individuals living with cleft. We aim to empower individuals to live healthy, fulfilling lives with renewed confidence and a reason to smile.

Comprehensive Cleft Care

Trainings

As a well-equipped learning center, we offer extensive, multidisciplinary cleft lip and palate surgery training programs for Fellows of the West African College of Surgeons (WACS) under the WACS-Smile Train Post-Fellowship Cleft Care Training Program, conducted by experienced specialists at our center.

Our initiative focuses on addressing nutritional challenges, often exacerbated by financial constraints, by ensuring individuals receive the necessary support.
Through carefully designed programs, we aim to promote healthy eating habits, combat malnutrition, and improve overall health outcomes.

Our empowerment programs prioritize mothers of cleft patients and caregivers, equipping them with the tools and skills to secure alternative livelihoods and provide for their families. This comprehensive effort focuses on empowering individuals to take control of their lives and become agents of positive change within their communities.
