The success of the Naija Smile project in creating lasting smiles for countless Nigerians over the years highlights the commitment of our staff, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and other esteemed collaborators who are the key forces behind our achievements.

This shared journey has led us to various communities throughout Nigeria. Here, we have engaged with individuals from diverse backgrounds and conveyed the important message of oral health.

Comprehensive Cleft Care

Now, almost 2 decades later We are humbled to witness GSI, with the invaluable support of Smile Train, our dedicated team, staff, and volunteers, positively impacting thousands of lives across different communities.

Our collaboration with Smile Train since 2008 has allowed us to offer extensive cleft care services to those impacted by cleft lip and/or palate. We can provide comprehensive care, free cleft nutritional management, speech therapy, orthodontic services, ENT care, conduct research, and educate future specialists.

FADEP

The Feyisara Adebola Development and Empowerment Program (FADEP), a tribute to Mrs. Feyisara's legacy, has empowered over 500 women with essential skills and knowledge in collaboration with Community Support and Development Initiative(CSADI)As we move forward, FADEP is focused on expanding its impact, with a goal of empowering 10,000 women across the nation within the next 10 years.

Nutrition

Recognizing the nutritional challenges faced by mothers of children with cleft conditions, Grassroot Smile Initiative (GSI) and Community Support And Development Initiative (CSADI) joined forces to deliver essential training. Mothers learned about practical, locally sourced nutritional options like "Garin Bul Bul."

Training

Our training programs are designed in partnership with West African College of Surgeons (WACS)and Smile Train.

They are a structured journey that equips participants with the skills needed to provide comprehensive cleft care.

Awareness

We utilize various media platforms to raise awareness about cleft. Our goal is to provide public education, awareness, foster empathy and promote acceptance while shedding light on cleft conditions and oral health care.
